Important: MPT CSS 2025 Mandatory Requirement
Starting from CSS 2025, the Multiple Choice Preliminary Test (MPT) is mandatory for all candidates. You must qualify CSS MPT 2025 to appear in the main CSS written examination. MPT is not counted as a CSS attempt.
CSS MPT 2025 Eligibility Rules
Basic Eligibility Criteria
- Pakistani citizen or Jammu & Kashmir state citizen
- Age: 21-32 years for CSS 2025 / 21-35 years for CSS 2026+
- Bachelor's degree with Second Division or Grade C minimum
- Good moral character and sound health
- No criminal record or conviction
Age Limit Updates
CSS 2025
Age: 21-32 years (as of December 31, 2024)
CSS 2026 & Onwards
Age: 21-35 years (Extended to 35 years)
Attempts: 5 attempts allowed (Increased from 3)
MPT CSS 2025 Exam Rules & Format
Exam Format Rules
- Total Questions: 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Marks: 200 marks (1 mark per question)
- Time Duration: 200 minutes (3 hours 20 minutes)
- Negative Marking: NO negative marking
- Passing Marks: 33% (66 out of 200 marks)
- Validity: Valid only for the same year's CSS exam

Application Process
- Online application through FPSC official website only
- Application fee: Rs. 250 (non-refundable)
- Payment through designated bank challan
- Original paid challan must be retained
- Admission certificate download mandatory
- No physical admission cards sent by post
